Bio

Lisa Napier, a native of Artemus, Kentucky, is the Head Cheer Coach at Union Commonwealth University. A proud graduate of Knox Central High School in Barbourville (Class of 1992), Lisa was a four-year varsity cheerleader, earning UCA All-American and MVP honors in both her junior and senior years. She also competed nationally with KCHS throughout her high school career.

Lisa went on to earn a Business degree from Northern Kentucky University in 1998. She later pursued her passion for education, earning a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Union College in 2004, followed by a Rank I Certification in Instructional Leadership in 2006.

Her collegiate cheer experience includes two years cheering for Union, and her coaching journey began at her alma mater, Knox Central High School, where she led the program from 2006 to 2016. Since 2016, Lisa has served as the Head Cheer Coach at Union Commonwealth University, leading her teams to national recognition, including a 6th Place finish at UCA College Nationals in 2022 and a 7th Place finish in 2025.

Lisa holds multiple coaching certifications, including:

• NAIA Champions of Character

• AACCA Spirit Safety Course

• USA Cheer Safety & Risk Management Certified

• USA Cheer Athlete Protection Certified

In addition to coaching, Lisa is a dedicated public educator with 23 years of experience. She currently teaches at a local elementary school.

Outside of her professional life, Lisa enjoys baking and cherishing time with her grandson. She and her husband Jeremy are proud parents of three children and grandparents to one grandchild.
