Union cheer claims seventh place at UCA College Nationals

Orlando, Fl. - The Union Commonwealth University cheer team competed in the finals at the UCA College Nationals.

The Bulldogs earned a seventh-place finish out of 15 teams in the competitive Open All-Girl Division. This division features a mix of NCAA Division III, Junior College, and NAIA programs.

This milestone marks Union's debut appearance in the finals and it stands as their second-best finish in program history, with their top performance still being a sixth-place finish in 2022.

"Today, the team wrapped up their College Nationals experience and is returning home seventh in the nation. When the competition began, there were 15 teams in their division, all fighting to advance to the final stage. Union was one of the finalists and earned a seventh-place finish," said head coach Lisa Napier. "I am very proud of each and every girl on this team. We set goals at the beginning of the season, and this weekend they accomplished them! While we are excited to celebrate our accomplishment with our family and friends at home when we return, we've already begun mentally making plans for the 2025-26 season! Go Dawgs!"
