Union cheer set to compete at UCA College Nationals

Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University Cheer team competes at the UCA College Nationals on Saturday.

The prestigious UCA College Nationals, the premier collegiate cheerleading championship, is held annually at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. 

Union Cheer will depart for Florida on Wednesday to begin preparations for this highly anticipated competition, which runs from Friday through Sunday. 

The Bulldogs will showcase their skills in the Open All-Girl Division, competing against 15 teams from across the United States.

"Our goal this year as a team is to advance to the finals and deliver a performance that will make our family and friends proud. Our team motto has been 'leave no doubt' and always give 'maximum effort,'" says head coach Lisa Napier. "Our team has worked hard this season, and we are ready to represent the U in Florida!"

This year, UCU Cheer will take the stage on Saturday, the 18th, at 1:26 p.m.
