UCU Baseball Drops Midweek Contest to Campbellsville
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University baseball team (6-29, 3-20 AAC) dropped a midweek matchup to Campbellsville (25-15) by a score of 9-6 on Tuesday.

Campbellsville struck first in the bottom of the second, using a fielder's choice to take a 1-0 lead.

Union Commonwealth answered in the top of the third, as Roberto Gallardo drew a bases-loaded walk to score the first run. Brysen Vernon followed with another bases-loaded walk, giving the Bulldogs a 2-1 advantage.

The Tigers responded with a strong stretch, scoring eight runs between the third and fifth innings to regain control at 9-2.

The Bulldogs chipped away in the top of the seventh. Jackson Feighery delivered an RBI double to score Chris Renegar, and Young followed with an RBI single to bring home Cristian Bajjalieha. Nate Adkins added a sacrifice fly to score Feighery, cutting into the deficit.

In the eighth inning, Gallardo scored on an error as Union Commonwealth continued its comeback attempt, making it 9-6.

Despite the late push, the Bulldogs were unable to complete the rally.
