Bulldogs fall in road matchup at Lindsey Wilson
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University baseball team (6-26, 3-17 AAC) dropped a midweek contest at Lindsey Wilson (14-22), 16-3, in a seven-inning, run-rule decision.

Lindsey Wilson jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly and a two-run home run.

The Bulldogs responded in the top of the second when Chris Renegar scored on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch, trimming the deficit to 3-1.

The Blue Raiders broke the game open between the third and fifth innings, plating 10 runs to extend their lead to 13-1.

Union Commonwealth added a run in the sixth as Roberto Gallardo delivered an RBI double to score Renegar, making it 13-2. Lindsey Wilson answered in the bottom half with three runs to push the lead to 16-2.

Nate Adkins recorded an RBI single in the top of the seventh to score Cameron Mays, but the Bulldogs were unable to continue the rally as the game ended via run rule, 16-3.
