BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University baseball team (3-11, 0-9 Appalachian Athletic Conference) fell in the final game of its series against No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan (16-4, 6-0 AAC) on Sunday at Jerry Carey Stadium.

Tennessee Wesleyan took an early lead in the first inning after a bases-loaded hit by pitch made it 1-0.

TWU extended their advantage in the fifth and sixth innings, using a single, a double and four RBIs to push the lead to 5-0.

Union got on the board in the bottom of the sixth when Isaiah Pintor delivered an RBI single to score Aiden Wilson. Max Charlton followed with a sacrifice fly that plated Nathan McCabe, trimming the deficit to 5-2.

Tennessee Wesleyan added five runs across the eighth and ninth innings. Union was unable to rally, falling 10-2.
