Rossi earns second AAC Player of the Week honor
Barbourville, Ky. – Union College baseball senior Hunter Rossi has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Pitcher of the Week.
It marks the second time this season that he has earned this honor. Rossi's latest achievement came as he delivered a stellar performance against No. 11 Reinhardt last Saturday as he secured a shutout.
This not only marked his second shutout of the season, but also his second complete game. He currently ranks first in the conference for shutouts, while being one of three players tied for first in complete games.
Rossi had five strikeouts, while allowing only four hits and two walks throughout 93 pitches. His strike percentage was over 50%.
His first AAC Pitcher of the Week honor this season was garnered for his outstanding nine-inning, one-hit shutout against Johnson.
