Union baseball’s Hunter Rossi named AAC Pitcher of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. - Union College baseball senior Hunter Rossi has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Pitcher of the Week.

Against Johnson on Sunday, Feb. 25, Rossi pitched a full nine innings. He allowed only one hit, and that came in the top of the ninth inning.

Rossi's stellar outing culminated in a shutout win against Johnson. Rossi registered an impressive tally of eight strikeouts in the matchup.

This exceptional feat marks the most recent instance of a Union pitcher completing a full nine innings since AJ Villa did so against Truett McConnell on May 1st, 2019.
