BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Today, the Union College baseball team fell 8-5 to St. Andrews in the opening matchup of a three-game series at Jerry W. Carey Stadium.
St. Andrews led 5-0 after the top of the second inning, but the Bulldogs scored five unanswered runs to tie the game 5-5 at the end of the sixth inning.
The Knights recorded one run in the seventh inning to go along with two runs in the eighth inning en route to an 8-5 win in nine innings.
Union tallied 10 hits in the game with Colton Stegman, Luke Pell, Tyrin Cox, and Logan Romasanta each registering two. The Bulldogs recorded 11 strikeouts in the matchup.
The Union Bulldogs are now 15-6-1 (6-3 AAC) this season, while St. Andrews is 9-10 (6-3 AAC). The final two games of this series will be played tomorrow beginning at 11:00 a.m.
