Union Athletics Unveils New Website, Logo

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College Office of Sports Communications unveiled the re-designed website for Bulldog Athletics on Friday.

"In addition to creating a fresh new look, it is our desire to make all of our information, news, and everything else our fans could want more accessible and easier to find," said Director of Sports Communications John Gatto. "We really appreciate the hard work SIDHelp put into this website to help us make this a reality."

Among the changes are a new web address and a new logo. While www.ucbulldogs.com will continue to remain active, the athletic website's new home can be found at www.gounionbulldogs.com.

Union's new logo is a block 'U.' Along with that, Union will no longer refer to itself as UC. Typically, institutions will refer to themselves by their initials. However, Union does not. Recognizing there are a number of different institutions with the name "Union College' and/or 'Union,' here are the ways one may refer to us:

• Union College in Kentucky
• Union College in Barbourville, Ky.
• Union College (Ky.)
• Union
• Union in Kentucky
• Union in Barbourville, Ky.
• Union (Ky.)

We are not UC. We are Union.

The Bulldogs has been our nickname since the student body selected it in a campus vote in 1925. When women's athletic programs were added in the late 1970s, those teams were referred as the Lady Bulldogs. But not any longer. All of our athletic programs will bear the nickname of Bulldogs.

In addition, updated versions of the Union College Athletics app will be available soon in iTunes and Google Play.
