The Union College men's and women's golf teams call Wasioto Winds Golf Course at the Pine Mountain State Resort Park in nearby Pineville, Kentucky their home. The program also utilitizes a outdoor practice facility on the Union campus, as well.
Wasioto Winds (pronounced Wah-see-OH-tuh, means Valley of the Deer), is an 18-hole course that includes five par 3 holes and five par 5s. True to its links nature, the course is relatively flat, with water coming into play from three lakes, a creek and several wetlands areas. Six arching bridges span the water throughout the course. Other course features include wide car paths, a practice range, two practice putting greens, and an indoor-use training center.
Wasioto Winds was rated also fourth among Best New Affordable Public Golf Courses in January 2003 issue of Golf Digest.
The outdoor practice facility is nestled between Jerry Carey Stadium and Union Field on the Barbourville campus. It features a putting green, a chipping area, and several bunkers, as well.
