BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College's Maggie McGraw (JR/Elkhorn, Wis.) is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Defender of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first conference weekly award in McGraw's three-year career as a Bulldog.

The Elkhorn, Wis., native averaged 4.92 digs per set with 59 in 12 sets on the week. In addition, McGraw recorded 12 kills, six service aces, and three total blocks.

Against Bluefield (Va.), McGraw filled in at libero and collected 22 digs. She followed that with one of her best all-around performances with a career-high 26 digs to go along with eight kills, five aces and two blocks.

McGraw also recently recorded her 1,000th career digs and currently sits with 1,082.

On the year, McGraw leads the Bulldogs with 32 aces and has 320 digs, 153 kills, and 12 total blocks.

Union is 21-7 overall and 9-2 in AAC play. The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday as they host the Cavaliers of Montreat (N.C.) in conference action. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
