BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Three second-half goals powered visiting Reinhardt (Ga.) to a 3-1 victory over Union College on Saturday in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play.

The Bulldogs fall to 6-5-1 overall and 4-2 in the conference play, while the Eagles are now 7-3-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the AAC.

The first half seemed to belong to Union as it possessed the ball in Reinhardt's zone for much of the half. The Bulldogs launched five shots with three going on frame to go along with four corner kicks. Reinhardt did outshoot Union during the opening 45 minutes 6-5, but only one of those shots made it on goal.

In the 29th minute, Ryan Coleman (FR/London, England) broke the scoreless deadlock with his first goal of the season. Donja Smith (JR/St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) set up the Union tally as he streaked down the left side before sending a pass in front of the goal, where Coleman fired it just to the goalkeeper's left side for the 1-0 lead.

The assist is the fourth of the year for Smith.

Reinhardt cranked up the offensive pressure in the second half, continually pressing the Union defense. Todd Fidler pulled the Eagles even as he scored from the left side after Dodge Palmisano slipped him the ball in the 57th minute.

Ten minutes later, Victor Profit put Reinhardt up 2-1 with his first goal of the year. Matthew Gray lofted a corner kick to the top of the 6-yard box, and Profit headed the ball in for the one-goal lead. Fidler added his second tally of the game in the 75th minute to lock up the 3-1 win for the Eagles.

Coleman was the highlight for the Bulldogs with a goal on two shots on goal.
