ASHEVILLE, N.C. - For the second week in a row, Union College seniors Rachel Andrews (SR/Louisville, Ky.) and Paulina Hileman (SR/Johnstown, Colo.) collected Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

Andrews is the AAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Hileman is the AAC Volleyball Defender of the Week.

The duo helped the Bulldogs to a 5-0 record last week as they are now 10-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

Andrews hammered home 50 kills on the week and matched her career high with 19 in a 3-2 win over Shawnee State (Ohio) on Friday. She had three double-digit kill outings and posted a .353 hitting percentage for the week. Andrews registered 12 total blocks as well.

For the season, Andrews has 142 kills to her credit and ranks 12th in the NAIA in hitting percentage at .363.

Hileman averaged 6.11 digs per set last week, recording 110 in 18 sets. She notched her 1,000th career dig during her tenure as a Bulldog and currently sits with 1,076. Hileman served up three aces during the five matches.

With 285 total digs and a 5.590 digs-per-set average, Hileman ranks No. 8 and No. 15 in the nation, respectively, in those categories.

Union returns to action Tuesday when it visits Milligan (Tenn.) for an AAC showdown. First serve is slated for 6:30 p.m.
