COLUMBIA, Ky. - Union College freshman C'Darius Cateo (FR/Lancaster, S.C.) scooped up Mid-South Conference (MSC) Appalachian Special Teams Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

Union defeated host Kentucky Christian 43-14 on Saturday, improving its record to 2-1 overall.

When Kentucky Christian scored its first touchdown of the game in the third quarter, the extra-point kick was blocked. Cateo collected the loose ball and sprinted over 90 yards for the defensive PAT.

Cateo also had a pair of tackles in the 29-point win.

On the season, Cateo had nine total tackles with five solo stops.

This is the third week in a row at least one Bulldog has received a weekly award from the MSC. Alex Bell (SR/Daytona Beach, Fla.) has twice been named the MSC Appalachian Offensive Player of the Week, while Jake Averhart (SR/Corner, Ala.) brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors once.

Union returns home Saturday to host No. 6 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
