BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College men's soccer head coach Jonathan Shaw announced the Bulldogs' 2017 schedule. Overall, the Bulldogs will compete in 17 matches on the year with nine games played on their home turf.

Union is coming off an historic 2016 season, finishing with a stellar 19-3-2 overall record and an 8-0-1 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) mark. The Bulldogs brought home back-to-back AAC Tournament championships and also advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 2016 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships.

Union ended the remarkable year ranked 7th in the nation.

The Bulldogs will get things started on Aug. 25-26 when the team hosts the fifth annual Thomas Trammell Memorial Classic at Williamson Stadium. The squad takes on Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) on Aug. 25 and concludes the classic with a match-up against Georgia Gwinnett on Aug. 26.

After the classic, Union will travel to Williamsburg, Ky., to compete in the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Classic on Sept. 2-4 taking on Huntington (Ind.) and Midland (Neb.), before traveling to Columbia, Ky. to take on Lindsey Wilson on Sept. 9.

Union returns home on Sept. 12 to host Midway (Ky.) before opening up conference play on Sept. 16 traveling to Point (Ga.), followed by Tennessee Wesleyan in Athens, Tenn. on Sept. 19.  The Bulldogs will host Milligan (Tenn.) on Sept. 23 before hitting the road to take on Bryan (Tenn.) on Sept. 27 and Bluefield (Va.) on Oct. 4.

The Bulldogs host a four-game home streak, starting with Reinhardt (Ga.) on Oct. 7. Union will then step out of conference play with a match on Oct. 10, taking on Cumberlands (Ky.) with two conference matchups St. Andrews (N.C.) and the annual homecoming game against Truett McConnell (Ga.) on Oct. 21 to round out the four-game stretch. 

The Bulldogs wrap up October by traveling to Oakland City, Ind. to take on Oakland City on Oct. 24 and then host against Montreat (N.C.) on Oct. 28 for the regular-season finale.

The AAC Tournament is scheduled to start on Oct. 31.
