MIDWAY, Ky. - The Union College baseball team dropped a 5-3 decision at Midway (Ky.) on Tuesday.

With the loss, Union falls to 25-21 overall while Midway improves to 24-25 on the year.

Midway took the early lead with a run in the first, but Union answered back with a solo home run from Francisco Ogando (JR/Bronx, N.Y.), his eighth of the year. Midway took the lead back scoring one in the second, until Union tied it up with an RBI single from Bruce Valentin (SR/Bronx, N.Y.).

The Eagles scored their final runs in the fourth taking the 5-2 lead.

The Bulldogs pushed a run across in the eighth, but it was too little, too late as Midway won 5-3.

Ogando lead the team with a perfect game going 4-for-4 with two RBIs, while Valentin finished 2-for-5 with a RBI.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action Friday when they play host to Milligan (Tenn.) to finish out the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
