BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union College's Daniel Neal (SO/London, Ky.) and Ronnie Healy (SR/Jupiter, Fla.) both hit home runs today to guide the Bulldogs to a 12-5 victory against visiting Midway (Ky.).

In all, the Bulldogs pounded out 17 hits in the matchup. Neal went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a solo home run, while Healy also drove in one run on a 1-for-4 performance and a solo home run.

Union now owns a 22-14 overall record, while the Eagles are 19-15 on the season.

Both teams had productive days and were able to get people on base, but Union found ways to push runs across the plate in recording the 12-5 outcome.

The Eagles were first to strike scoring two runs in the first. Healy didn't waste any time hitting a solo home run over right-field fence for his ninth of the year – the most in a season during his Bulldog career.

The bats heated up in the second inning for the Bulldogs scoring seven runs on six hits to take an 8-2 lead. The Eagles answered back with two runs in the third, closing the gap to 8-4.

The following innings remained scoreless until the sixth when Midway added their final run of the game.

In the seventh, Union added to its advantage as Neal hit a solo home run followed by a RBI single from Chris Lane (JR/Battle Ground, Wash.) and Bruce Valentin (SR/Bronx, N.Y.) to go up 11-5 over Midway.

Union extended its lead out to 12-5 after pinch-hitter Evan Figert (FR/Franklin, Ky.) lofted a sacrifice fly to score Francisco Ogando (JR/Bronx, N.Y.) in the bottom of the eighth.

On the mound, Seth Robinson (SR/Covington, Ky.) captured the win, hurling 3 innings. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks with one strikeout.

For the Bulldogs, J.C. Pena (SR/Perth Amboy, N.J.), Ogando and Lane paced the way in going 2-for-3 from the plate with one RBI for Lane and two runs scored from Pena and Ogando. While catcher Pudge Morgan (FR/Glasgow, Ky.) went 2-for-4 at the plate.
