BARBOURVILLE, Ky.Francisco Ogando (JR/Bronx, N.Y.) continued his hitting streak and the Bulldogs got back to their winning ways as Union took a 6-3 victory over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Wednesday.

Ogando lined two more hits today, upping his hit streak to 10 games.

With the victory, Union improved to 19-12 on the year, while Lindsey fell to 19-15 with the defeat.

After a scoreless first, the Bulldogs cracked the scoreboard in the bottom of the second, tacking on one run to take an early 1-0 edge over the Blue Raiders. In the frame, Ogando slapped a triple to the right field fence and then scored on Daniel Neal (SO/London, Ky.)'s groundout to put Union on the board.

In the top of the third, Lindsey Wilson took the lead scoring two runs thanks a run-scoring double and squeeze bunt.

In the fourth, Ogando lined a RBI double as scored twice in the frame to take a 3-2 lead. Bruce Valentin (SR/Bronx, N.Y.) came to the plate in the bottom of the fifth and sent a 1-2 pitch over the wall for a two-run home run to up the Bulldogs' lead to 5-2.

The three-run deficit was too much for the Blue Raiders to come back from the rest of the game, as the Bulldogs used a pitcher in each inning to keep the Lindsey Wilson offense at bay. In the eighth, Union added their final run on a solo homer from Ronnie Healy (SR/Jupiter, Fla.). The four-bagger is his eighth home run of the year, equaling his career high as a Bulldog.

Overall, Healy had a big day at the dish for the Bulldogs, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ogando, Valentin, and Daniel Neal went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored for Ogando, and two RBIs apiece from Valentin and Neal.

On the mound, Austin Dingee (JR/Bay City, Mich.) earned the win on the day where the Bulldogs worked through the pitching staff, throwing six pitchers on the afternoon.
