GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Union College's Francisco Ogando (JR/Bronx, N.Y.) continued his hitting streak with two homeruns against Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs fell against the Tigers 14-5.

With the defeat, Union fell to 18-12 on the year, while Georgetown improved to 21-9 with the win.

In the first inning, Union was able to strike quickly, taking a 3-0 lead on the Tigers with a three-run homerun from Ogando.

But, in the bottom of the second, Georgetown scored six runs to take a 6-3 lead.

Bruce Valentin (SR/Bronx, N.Y.) lined a triple to drive in a run, making it a 6-4 game. Georgetown, though, put Union away in the bottom of the fifth in plating five runs to take an insurmountable 11-4 lead.

In the top of the eighth frame, Ogando hit his second home run of the day to cut the deficit down to six runs entering the final innings, but it was too little, too late, as the Tigers rolled to the nine-run win.

Overall, Ogando had a big day at the dish for Union in the loss, hitting two home runs in a game with four RBIs. Joe Gaines (SO/London, Ky.) and Valentin each were 2-for-4 with a RBI for Valentin and two runs scored for Gaines.
