WALESKA, Ga. – The Union College women's basketball team had its postseason positioning take a hit Wednesday as it dropped a 76-60 decision at Reinhardt (Ga.) in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play.

The loss puts the Bulldogs at 16-12 overall and 10-11 in conference. As of now, Union sits eighth in the standings, making a likely No. 8 seed for next week's AAC Tournament.

The AAC Tournament is set for Feb. 22-25 at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center & Conference Resort in Kingsport, Tenn.

The Bulldogs started the game well, taking an 8-4 lead following a Reagan King (SR/Hindman, Ky.) 3-pointer with 5:54 left in the first. However, the Lady Eagles closed out the period on a 10-1 run in claiming a 14-9 lead going into the second.

From that point on, Union never held the lead again.

Reinhardt pushed the margin to 33-21 in the second, but a 5-0 spurt by Union made it a seven-point game with 29 seconds left in the half. Bria White scored as time expired, giving Reinhardt a 35-26 halftime lead.

The Lady Eagles pushed their lead to double-digits in the third and kept it there for much of the period. Yet, a quick rally pulled Union within seven later in the frame. A King bucket with 2:57 on the clock brought the Bulldogs within 49-42. Reinhardt, though, ended the quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 56-44 lead into the fourth.

Reinhardt outscored Union 20-16 in the fourth and held a double-digit lead for much of it as it locked up the 76-60 victory.

Maci Spence (SR/Mt. Sterling, Ky. ) was the lone Bulldog to score in double figures, finishing with 12 points.

White led Reinhardt (26-3 overall, 18-3 AAC) with 25 points with Erike Woodfin following with 15. Danielle Pray and Jada Hubbard each chipped in 11 points, while Rebecca Cheeks scored 10.
