BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College football team heads to Bluefield (Va.) today in search of another Mid-South Conference (MSC) East victory.

The Bulldogs and Rams are set to kick off at 6 p.m.

Union enters the game 4-5 overall and 3-2 in MSC East play, while Bluefield is 1-8 overall and 1-3 in conference action.

The Bulldogs are coming off an impressive defensive showing last week where they limited Pikeville (Ky.) to 246 yards in total offense in a 20-7 victory. Union also took forced four turnovers in the win and recorded six sacks. Offensively, Izayah Riettie (FR/Lakeland, Fla.) stole the show with 142 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries. He scored on runs of 61, 4 and 70 yards.

For their efforts in the game, Serge Vita (SR/Pasadena, Calif.) and Alex Sigmon (SR/Bristol, Tenn.) earned MSC East Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week honors.

Bluefield is coming off a 28-13 loss to Cumerlands (Ky.). The Rams lone win came against Cincinnati Christian, a 28-7 decision on Oct. 22.

The series is tied at 3-3; however two of Bluefield's wins came in the 1920s. Since the series resumed in 2012, Union holds 3-1 edge.
