BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College football team returns home Saturday to host Pikeville (Ky.) in a Mid-South Conference (MSC) East showdown.

Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. at Williamson Stadium.

Union enters the game 3-5 overall and 2-2 in MSC East play, while Pikeville is 4-4 overall and 3-0 in MSC East play.

Statistically, the Bulldogs enter the game with a slight advantage. Union is averaging 406.6 yards per game in total offense, while Pikeville comes in with a 340.4 average. The Bulldogs are also averaging 28.6 points per game as compared to the Bears' 24.6.

However, Pikeville enters the game with the fourth-best pass defense in the NAIA, allowing only 140.8 yards through the air.

Union's defense has not been too shabby this season, ranking seventh in pass defense, allowing 160.6 yards per game. In addition, the Bulldogs' 21.5 sacks and 2.7 sacks per game sacks rank 16th in the NAIA. Senior defensive lineman Serge Vita leads the NAIA in tackles for loss at 17.0 on the year. He also ranks third in tackles for a loss per game (2.1), seventh in total sacks (7.0) and ninth in sacks per game (1.0). Vita sits third on the team in total tackles with 58 total stops.
