PINEVILLE, Ky. – The Union College men's golf team picked up a sixth-place finish at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Championship.

The two-day AAC Fall Championship was hosted by Union and held at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Ky.

After sitting in seventh place following the first round of play with a team score of 299, the Bulldogs made a late surge on day two of the championship to grab the sixth-place finish. Union shot a two-day score of 591, wrapping up the final firing a 292.

Entering the final day in the lead, SCAD Atlanta captured the fall title with a two-day score of 580 (288-292).

Individually, Erik Hermansson (JR/Gothenburg, Sweden) led Union in the fall championship, shooting a two-day score of 145 (72-73). Andy Dusek (SR/Woking, England) finished tied for 19th with an overall score of 148. Dusek ended the final day shooting four shots better than he did in the first round.

Simon Berglund and Alasdair Ross (SR/Fort William, Scotland) finished tied for 23rd, firing a total score of 150 while Nick Blankenship (SR/Ashland, Ky. ) collected a two-day score of 154 (80-74).

The Bulldogs also had two players participate as individuals who had strong outings. Connor Sutton ended the championship shooting an identical 75 both days to register an overall score of 150 good enough to tie him with teammates Berglund and Ross for 23rd. Jacob Vaughn rounded out the top finishers with a two-day score of 152 (76-76) tying him for 30th-place.
