LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Union College women's bowling team posted a pair of 10th-place finishes over the weekend at the Louisville Collegiate Classic and the Thomas Burris Memorial Classic.

In Saturday's Louisville Collegiate Classic, Union finished the team game portion in 10th with a score of 4,206, which place it only five ahead of Cumberland (Tenn.). Union played well in the Baker round but was unable to make up the 179 lead ninth-place Bethel (Tenn.) had over it. However, Union did finish only 69 back of Bethel.

The Bulldogs ended the tournament with a total score of 6,200 to put it 25 ahead of 11th-place Cumberland. In all, 16 teams competed.

Individually, Kylee Sanders paced Union with a 30th-place showing with a total score of 883. Kendall Lane (JR/Charlotte, N.C.) was next in line with an 851 for 40th place.

At the Burris Memorial on Sunday, Union used a strong outing in the Baker games to move up two positions in the final standings.

Union sat 12th following the team game portion with a score 3,939. With a total score from all 12 Baker games of 2,069 to finish 10th overall with a total pinfall of 6,008. Union was able to leapfrog Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and SCAD Atlanta in the overall standings. Lindsey Wilson finished 11th (5,947) and SCAD Atlanta placed 13th overall (5,885).

There were 15 teams competing.

Individually, Lane led Union with 727 to finish 51st overall. Julia Edenfield (FR/Jacksonville, Fla.) was next in line at 57th with a 648.
