BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College football team is off to a 3-1 start and hits the road for a big test in No. 7 Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.).

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT at Blue Raider Stadium in Columbia, Ky.

The Bulldogs are off to their best start since 2008 when the team began the year 5-0. In addition to being 3-1 overall, Union is 2-0 in Mid-South Conference East.

However, Union begins a three-game stretch against ranked opponents. After facing the seventh-ranked Blue Raiders, Union will play host to No. 23 Bethel (Tenn.) and No. 11 Georgetown (Ky.) on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15.

This game has the potential of becoming a high-scoring affair. In 5 games, Lindsey Wilson has tallied 291 points to lead the NAIA, and its 58.2 points-per-game average ranks second. Meanwhile, Union's 159 points ranks 13th nationally, while its 39.8 points-per-game average ranks eighth overall.

The Blue Raiders (5-0 overall, 1-0 Mid-South Conference West) lead the season with a 5-1 record. The Bulldogs won the inaugural showdown 44-14 in 2010.
