LONDON, KY. – The Union College men's and women's golf teams wrapped up play at the Bill Sergent Invitational on Tuesday

The Invite was hosted by Cumberlands (Ky.) and took place at the Creeked Creek Golf Course in London, Ky.

On the men's side, competition was tight all the way to the last hole. After falling three strokes behind Cumberlands following the first round, the Bulldogs came out and won the second round shooting a 313 as a team, beating the Patriots by one stroke (314).

Despite the surge in the final day, Cumberlands edged Union for first place. The Patriots finished with two-day score of 614 (300-314) with the Bulldogs firing a total score of 616 (303-313).

Nick Blankenship paced the way for Union shooting an overall score of 154 (77-77), which tied him with fellow teammates Erik Hermansson (74-80) and Simon Berglund (76-78) for fifth place.

Andy Dusek and Alasdair Ross rounded out the top finishes tied for 12th-place shooting a two-day score of 156.

Union women finished in ninth place with a final score of 729 (365-364). Alexis Gibson led the Bulldogs with a two-day score of 171 (84-87) while Leslie Roy ended with an overall score of 177 (87-90).
