BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union College head bowling coach Brandy Hensley announced the 2016-17 schedules for the men's and women's programs.

The men's and women's teams boast identical schedules with nine regular-season events leading up to the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championships in mid-February.

The season begins with two tournaments in September, starting with the Railsplitter Classic in Harrogate, Tenn., on Sept. 17-18. Union will travel to Campbellsville, Ky., for the Green River Classic on Sept. 24-25.

Here is rest of the fall schedule: Louisville Collegiate Classic in Louisville, Ky. (Oct. 1), Thomas Burris Memorial Classic in Louisville (Oct. 2), Bulldog Classic in Lexington, Ky. (Oct. 29-30) and the Striking Knights Classic in Louisville (Nov. 19-20).

The Bulldogs resume play on Jan. 28-29 at the Lindsey Wilson Baker Classic in Smyrna, Tenn. Union concludes the regular season at the Norse Classic in Erlanger, Ky. (Feb. 4) and the Eagle Classic in Lexington (Feb. 5).

The MSC Championships will get underway on Feb. 9 and run through Feb. 12 in Bowling Green, Ky.

Other potential postseason stops for the Bulldogs include the USBC Sectionals (March 12-13), the NAIA Invitational (March 31-April 2) and the ITC Championships (April 19-22).

In 2015-16, the women's team posted a strong second half to the regular-season conference schedule to finish sixth with a 21-19 record. At the league tournament, Union advanced to the winners' bracket semifinal round before finishing 2-2. The Bulldogs qualified for the NAIA Invitational for the first time in program history and placed tied for 11th overall. To view the women's schedule, click here.
