BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head women's bowling coach Brandy Hensley announced the additions of a Julia Edenfield and Jameson Tarrant to the 2016-17 roster.

Edenfield and Tarrant are accomplished bowlers from Jacksonville, Fla.

"I am very pleased to be able to bring these two ladies into the program," said Hensley. "They are both very talented and gifted bowlers, and I'm sure they will make an impact on our program."

Edenfield is graduating from Terry Parker High School. She owned the top average in the district and had a high series of 695. Edenfield also won the Gateway Conference, was the JJBT Champion, a state doubles champion and a City All Evens Champion.

Meanwhile, Tarrant will graduate from Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts. Although her high school did not sponsor athletics, she was very competitive in the local and state youth leagues and organizations. Tarrant owns a high game of 289 and a high series of 720. She has been a city champion and was a 2014 Teen Masters Jacksonville qualifier. Tarrant place first in the City Team Even Division 2 in 2013. In 2015, she took first at the Florida State USBC Youth Tournament doubles division 2 and was third in the All Events Handicap Division 7. Tarrant has already been crowned the 2016 Jacksonville City Tournament champion.

Union is coming off a very successful season as it placed 11th at the NAIA Invitational Tournament. It was the Bulldogs' first-ever appearance at the national tournament.
