BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College men's and women's bowling teams returned to the lanes this past weekend, partaking in the Eagle Classic and the Norse Collegiate Classic tournaments.

On Saturday, the teams competed in the Eagle Classic with the women placing ninth overall out of 14 teams and the men finishing in 10th place out of 14 teams.

Kendall Lane (SO) led Union women earning a 12th place finish with a total pinfall of 926 and ending the day with an impressive 185.2 average. The next Bulldog to place was Kimberly Alexander (SR/Lebanon, Ind.) posting a five-game score of 615 which was good enough for a 79th place finish.

On the men's side, Trenton Schaibly (FR) guided Union with a 38th-place finish in posting a total five-game score of 889 with an average of 177.8.

Following Saturday's outing, the women's squad turned right around on Sunday and participated in the 2016 Norse Collegiate Classic. The team finished the day placing 11th overall out of 16 teams with a total pinfall of 6,157.

Katelynn George (SR/Crowley, Texas) paced Union knocking down a total of 887 pins, finishing in 42nd place. Lane followed behind George in 60th place with a five-game score of 841. Alexander rounded out the women's team one spot from George in 61st place, collecting a total pinfall of 838.
