WALESKA, Ga. - Senior third baseball Joe Englehomered and drove in four, but it wasn't enough to lift the Union baseball team to victory as host Reinhardt (Ga.) pulled out the 7-6 Appalachian Athletic Conference decision on Saturday.

The loss snaps the Bulldogs' six-game win streak and drops Union to 29-19 overall and 14-7 in conference play. Reinhardt is now 19-27 overall and 10-11 in the AAC.

Engle (Sidney, Ohio) went 4-for-5 on the day with a double, home run, two runs scored and four RBIs. The four-bagger was his eighth of the season and second of the weekend series.

Union played from behind from the outset with Reinhardt scoring two in the first and another run in the second for a 3-0 advantage. The Bulldogs scored three in the top of the third to even the score, but the Eagles reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the frame as it pushed a run across for a 4-3 lead.

Down 7-4 in the seventh, Union rallied for a pair of runs to make it a one-run contest. But was as close as the Bulldogs could get with Reinhardt holding on for the 7-6 win.

Cory Perreault (Phoenix, Ariz.) had a solid game in going 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Union returns to action Tuesday when it plays host to Georgetown (Ky.) in a single, nine-inning contest at 4 p.m.
